Once they reach the Heart of the Maze (With the Ring Altar), Bierce instructs the protagonist to collect Soul Shards (Which are the remnants of those who has met their end in the mazes). The elevator returns, and the protagonist takes the elevator up. Upon approaching, the monkey gets startled and the door closes. While looking around, the protagonist sees a bellboy monkey down the hall in an elevator. The player is led into the hotel and ends up in a reception area. Dark Deception Chapter 2 is the next chapter in the Dark Deception story. Bierce then opens the first portal, which leads to the hotel location. As she continues, it is revealed that the player must bring all the ring pieces to her in order for their wish to be granted. Bierce says that pieces to a ring are hidden in each nightmare in each of the 10 portals around the ballroom. The protagonist is then introduced to a large room, known as Bierce’s Ballroom, which is seemingly floating in the middle of nowhere. Knowing they can change their fate, the nightmare begins. Bierce explains that she knows all the terrible things that the protagonist has done, and knows their desires. Chapter 1 Afterwards, the protagonist meets a mysterious woman named Bierce. Unfortunately, this challenge won’t be easy, for the Shards are guarded by bizarre monsters and their owner, Malak, who will stop at nothing to stop the protagonist from succeeding. With that, she introduces them to various portals in which the player needs to collect a number of Soul Shards, the remnants of human souls, then they can finally return to the living world. There, a woman named Bierce greets them and explains that if they want to return to the living world, they will need to endure many grueling trials. The game revolves around Doug Houser, who finds himself in a ballroom.
The pre-alpha demo of the game was released in March of 2014 and was developed in Unity. Dark Deception was designed to be enjoyed by everyone. Dark Humor: While scary, Dark Deception is not a bloody or gory game and features it’s own stylized brand of dark humor. Players will have to change up their tactics in order to survive. Unique Enemies: Every nightmare presents a unique creature that has its own distinct AI.
